Reactions and Reviews

1991

When a strange phenomenon is included in a story, it seems to me that there must be a plausible explanation for it. The stranger it is, the more plausible the explanation must be. In this tale we have a split Kirk and no explanation whatsoever. Nevertheless, I did appreciate that wonderful moment in sickbay where McCoy served as a "human bridge"—giving freely of his energy to the comatose Kirk and Spock. This is what McCoy and healing are all about. [1]
