Beyond Antares is a gen Star Trek: TOS zine published in Louisiana. It contains articles, stories, and ST news.
Issue 1
Beyond Antares 1 was published in July 30, 1974, is staple-bound, and has 64 numbered pages. It has art by Chuck Crosby, Robert Beckley, and Steven Archote.
In the July 1976 issue, the editor wrote:
To answer a question asked often, there are no more copies of Beyond Antares #1, nor any re-printing plans as of now. I prefer to let this issue simply be transported to the farthest reaches of the universe, specifically never to be seen again, for certain reasons evident to persons who have purchased it.
The editors write about what you need to produce a 100 page zine:
- a mimeograph
- stencils (100—one for every page)
- paper (15,000 sheets for 300 copies)
- ink (10 one pound cans)
- people to help
- a typewriter ("you could survive with one, but more are better")
