Bethesda Softworks LLC is a video game publisher founded by Christopher Weaver in 1986. In its first 15 years, Bethesda only self-published its own titles but in more recent years it has published titles from both other, smaller game studios and its own software division (Bethesda Game Studios). It now functions mainly as a video game publisher, rather than a video game developer, and is most known for open world games such as Skyrim and the Fallout series.

Reputation

Bethesda have somewhat of a mixed reputation. They've become infamous for creating open world RPGs that are usually broken and buggy at launch, and re-releasing Skyrim every five minutes. Todd Howard too has become a meme.
