Recs and Reviews

Obi-ki's marvelous AR story is one of my all-time favorites. Quin and OB are actors in the 1960s. Quin is already a star when they meet, while OB is just starting out. Quin falls for OB instantly and tries to get to know him better. He accepts the lead in a film shooting in Upstate New York because OB is in the cast.

They spend a wonderful day together at Quin's home, replete with tennis, swimming, and barbecue. Hard to imagine a better 'first date'. When they go on location in NY, they click professionally and personally. They share many intimate moments, kept fiercely private because of the prejudice of the day. Quin acts as an example to OB of how to balance a successful career with a loving relationship, even in the face of scrutiny and judgment.

Quin has spent decades developing his public image as a ladies' man, too much of a lothario to ever settle down. This image protects him now that he is in his first-ever love affair, and he mentors OB with nary an eyebrow raised.

My favorite sequence is when they vacation together on a beautiful lake; it's the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor fun. Ki's love scenes are as scorching as the midday sun on the water. Her two men are clearly made for each other, just like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan themselves.

You'll love spending time with these two![1]
