The Bash at the Loft or 'BashCon' was a fan-run slash convention held in Maryland that focused on the TV show Sentinel. It ran for four years, from 1997 to 2000, and styled itself as "A Zine Relax - A - Con". The convention was also the place to announce the winners of the "Golden Guppy Awards for the 'best' in 'Sentinel' fandom."
In spite of its Sentinel focus the convention page stated: "ALL FANDOMS (STAR WARS:TPM, Professionals, One West Wakiki, Man from Uncle, Due South, Starsky and Hutch, Stargate SG1, Blake 7, etc.) WILL BE REPRESENTED AT THE CON WITH EMPHASIS ON 'THE SENTINEL'."

"Bash at the Loft III -- Labour Day weekend of 1999. Same as the previous two years, with a few extras, including a Panel Thinker Upper. It will be held at the same hotel in Baltimore again.
Memberships limit is 100. The price will be $25 until January 1, 1999, then it will go up to $30. The dealer tables will be $25.
And there may be a surprise guest!

Formally know as "The Bash at the Loft" Convention
This is a slash con mostly and you must be 18 or older to attend.
Three full days of Dealers Room, ZINES, Videos on a HUGE TV screen, ZINES, Art, ZINES, Jewelry, ZINES, Photographs, ZINES, Munchies, Blooper reels, OUR FAMOUS DUBBING ROOM & Even more ZINES!!
On Friday night - We will have the Rosemary Fandom Charades (named after the person responsible for this). Afterwards, we will have our more lascivious panels going until late.
The Cruise Director - known as Taya, will be guiding us through another "Circle Information Jerk" and some new 'games'.
On Saturday night - At 8 p.m., will be our ICE CREAM EXTRAVAGANZA - MAKE YOUR OWN SUNDAES WITH SCOOPS OF VARIOUS FLAVORS AND TOPPINGS FROM CANDIES TO FRUITS TO NUTS - YOU NAME IT! There will be lots of ice cream on large trays with fruits and nuts and candies to decorate your sundae...and whipped cream, with large bowls to put it all in.

Our Video Queen, Linda Ploetz and our Video Princess, Merlyn, will be running the tapes on the large (HUGE) TV (a reminder - the Video royalty will deprived anyone of their fingers if they touch the tapes and get them out of order...=-D).

THE DEALERS ROOM - WILL BE THE WHOLE BALLROOM BECAUSE WE WILL ALSO HAVE THE HUGE TV FOR VIDEOS BEING SHOWN IN THERE. EVEN THE DEALERS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE EPISODES AND SONG VIDS.

OUR DUBBING ROOM - The Protector of the Dubbing Dungeon - we call her the ‘Duchess of Tapes’ Gail, who along with her second-in-command, Sir Lady 'Ker the Kindly' (except when you touch her tapes), keep the dubbing going without losing a single video (and that my friends, isn't easy). This year we will be at the hotel on Thursday, in case you want to start your dubbing early.
OUR NON-VIRTUAL CHAT ROOM - For those of you who decide they have a topic that they would like to discuss in a comfy area - this area will also hold light snacks for munchies.
PANEL ROOMS - With Miss Panel Thinker Upper, 'Mal the Mighty' handling this, this should go smoothly. If there are any particular topics you want to talk about in large groups, write into the Bash list.
REGISTRATION - will be at one o'clock on Friday and dealers can start set up at 11 o'clock.
As we seem to be getting bigger every year, I am going to have to put a limit on memberships to the first 100.
