Avantika is an NPC played by Matt Mercer in campaign 2 of Critical Role. She was the antagonist for the Nein during the Pirate Arc. A chosen of U'kotoa, she immediately connected to Fjord, who was following U'kotoa at the time as well.

While the majority of the fandom immediately took a dislike to the character, some fans didn't understand the attitude, saying that Avantika didn't do anything wrong to the Nein at the time[1].
