The ASFR was an Australian science fiction zine, originally started by John Bangsund in 1966, with the last seven issues (#21-28) published under the name Scythrop. It was revived in 1986 by the Melbourne Collective. It contained reviews of various science fiction properties, articles on science fiction in Australia, interviews and convention reports.

It has won two Ditmar Awards: one for Best Australian Amateur Publication or Fanzine in 1969 and one for Best Fanzine in 1991.
