Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a 2010 action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the third major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a direct sequel to 2009's Assassin's Creed II, and the second chapter in the "Ezio trilogy" followed by Assassin's Creed: Revelations in 2011. The game was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November and December 2010, and was made available for Microsoft Windows in March and June 2011.

The historical plot takes place in Rome in the late 1400s, and follows Ezio Auditore's continuing quest to take down the Borgia family who are powerful Templars.

Brotherhood was the first game in the main AC series to feature a multiplayer mode, which required online access. Subsequent main-series games would continue to include a multiplayer mode up until 2015's Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and later games.
