A short, powerful story. Adm. Kirk on a diplomatic assignment on Vulcan—miserable, in pain over Spock being at Gol. And Spock comes.... Intense dreamlike love-sex, really nice.

Kirk: "I know why you left, because you found out I'm in love with you." Spock: "No. I left when I realized I was in love with you." Just beautiful.

I love Kirk's desperation. He doesn't even want Spock to leave him for a moment to go get lubricant. I want it to hurt, he says. I want to feel where you've been after you're gone. Beautiful poetic sex.
