I like a story that starts with a simple, domestic scene right away. An interesting discussion between Kirk and Spock about balance of power in their relationship; basically Kirk accepts Spock's "superiority." I like the premise, revolving around events between series and ST:TWOK. Fine erotica: very realistic and no awkwardness. Wonderful insatiable sex on their anniversary due to the fertility god statue. Very expressive images. Really succinct, powerful language. Some amount of "telling, not showing" however. [1]

More than half his monthly fee for a kitten? Either that kitten had a pedigree from here to Rigel, or an admiral’s pay amounts next to nothing. That was a marring thing in an otherwise enjoyable read. [2]
