Anime News Network (ANN) is an information database, news/reviews source, and discussion center for anime and manga. It was founded by Justin Sevakis in July of 1998.[1]

It updates daily with news on the anime/manga industries, reviews, columns, and editorials.

It also features an encyclopedia documenting comprehensive information on anime and manga published, staff and cast involved, and companies in the industries. As of September 2019, there are over 9,000 anime titles and 12,000 manga titles in the encyclopedia.[2] It is a commonly used alternative to IMDb for anime and manga. Users registered to the site can use the encyclopedia to create custom lists of titles they've seen/read and rate them on a 0 - 10 scale.

There is also a forum with discussion on the news and articles, as well as general anime/manga fandom talk.
