Anime Fan Fest was a convention in Somerset, New Jersey produced by Otaku Magazine and MAD Event Entertainment. It took place on May 6–8 of 2016. A second one was planned for April 22–23 of 2017, but was cancelled.[1]
Creators who had tables in the Artist Alley complained that AFF's table fee was far too high for the low number of attendants, with one saying "I've been to quite a few first-year cons, and I have to say that this one was the absolute worst of them all."[2] However, attendee reviews on Facebook were more positive, with one fan saying "I've been attending conventions for 5 years now, and this weekend was definitely one of my favorite experiences. This convention was very intimate and relaxing, and made a great memory for me."[3]
