OMG I LOVE THIS. I love how completely *stupid* Steve is with his feelings and wanting to murder everyone hitting on Danny (mmmm, biceps) and not EVEN KNOWING WHY asfjd;lsafjdk;sa! Actually almost PASSING OUT. And Danny forcing him to talk and figuring it out and then oh the speech, Danny's speech about wanting Steve to be happy, wanting to make him happy, looooooooooooooove it, so much love <3. Hilarious and sweet and hot and Gracie and flowers and looooove.[1]
Okay- I think this is hands-down some of the best Steve/Danny interaction I've read. Drunk Steve, with the Morse code and the singing and the hoping he didn't accidentally break someone's fingers? Hilarious. Danny, with his impatience with his Neanderthal partner's repression and his offhand comment about union regulations and his overall awesomeness? Perfect. These lines-“You blew up an entire cocaine ring on Friday.” “That was an accident!” Mostly. Like, a good 85% accident, at least.

I'm making my way in the McDanno fics and this is actually the first one I've read in Steve's point of view and damn, didn't I love it? The whole almost passing out because I'm incapable of dealing with my feelings was an amazing touch because that navy seal bullshit Steve's shows off convinces no one, he is a fucking soft <3[3]

Flower! Steve is so ridiculous at feelings. Flower! He nearly faints rather than talk about feelings. Flower! And Grace is an adorable mini Danno.[5]
This fic has the best Season 1 McDanno feels, it’s got jealous!Steve, it’s got an adorable young Gracie, it’s got flowers, and it has Steve nearly fainting when it comes to talking about emotions–this totally made my day today! This is just the sweetest McDanno fic, with a bit of Hawaiian culture and Steve having intimacy issues, like the big 'ol dweeb he is.[7]
I want to start with this one. If you want an emotionally stunt Steve and a very sure of what he wants Danny this is for you. The characters are spot-on, you can find amazing one liners, sexy times and so, so much love. You will not regret giving this fic a chance.[8]
