Allen Road was a mailing list in Doctor Who fandom.
Description:
WHAT IS IT?Allen Road isn't meant to be a replacement or substitute for rec.arts.drwho, but some fans find it hard to cope with the number of postings in the newsgroup, especially the off-topic and/or hostile messages. Hopefully the House will provide an alternative, or just a breather, for fans who need one.
RULES
Allen Road is a moderated list. That means there are a few basic rules to follow.
No flaming or trolling.
No Spam. Spammers will be immediately executed. They will be missed less than Adric.
Try to stay on topic. (There's a generous ammount of flex to this rule, but it does mean no discussing if Coke or Pepsi is better, unless it somehow pertains to Dr. Who)
Spoilers are appreciated. There will always be someone, somewhere who hasn't seen Robot, or hasn't read The Eight Doctors. So please use spoilers.
(In case your wondering, what that means, always make sure and preface a discussion that may give away a story by using spoiler space. For example:

No binaries or html formatted messages.
Please put an [AR] in the subject line of any new message. Some people subscribe to several mailing list, and this makes it easier to tell where the mail came from.
Aside from that, it's pretty much wide open. By joining this mailing list, you agree to follow the rules, break the rules to many times, and I might get a bit cross. Break the flaming or trolling rules too often and I'll remove you from the list.
