Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder is a highly regarded popslash epic co-written by Mickeym and Nopseud, noteworthy for both its staggering length (over 600,000 words) and the sheer volume of graphic, kinky sexual acts depicted throughout. The plot chronicles the budding romance between Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez (JC/Chris) during the early days of *Nsync, before the group had had its U.S. breakthrough. The two experience commitment issues, a gay identity crisis and various experimentations with polyamory, voyeurism, et al., while navigating their burgeoning feelings for one another.
It was originally posted on the specially created Absinthe_Makes Livejournal community in 64 parts, over a period of several months. Later, a single file version of the story would be made available on Nopseud's own website.
A prequel, Syrupy Lambs, co-written by Nopseud and beatpropx, is also housed on Nopseud's website.
Both writers made frequent mention of a planned sequel during the initial posting period, but as of this writing nothing has been written or posted.
