Delightful short story of an older Kirk and Spock at Yosemite telling McCoy that they've (K and S, that is) become lovers. It is so tender and funny as McCoy recounts a time when he "defended Kirk's honor" with a very colorful drunk at a bar. Even though very short, this is quite vividly written and easy to hear them say these things. It ends very poignantly and I wish it had gone on. But then, I wish that all J.S.'s stories would go on. In fact. I wouldn't mind a J.S. story the length of say, "War and Peace" and "Gone with the Wind" and "Courts of Honor". Combined, Yeah! That's the ticket! [1]
