OK, I have to love this because it includes a guest appearance by Captain Brandt! But even without that, it's a wonderful story! I don't care that Saavik is technically a canon character, we never saw her onscreen as a child, and Wildcat has done an outstanding job of bringing her to life! Great energy, emotion, and believability throughout. And even though I'm crediting this one story, I want to mention that I love this character throughout the series. [1]
