Summary

"Spock experiments sexually with a scientist on the outpost he inspects in order to insure that, if he ever meets Kirk again, he will have the experience he needs to hold him."

Short, off-beat story about Spock, as first officer of the Fremont, visits a remote research station and decides to have sex with the lonely and more-than-willing doctor in charge. Spock remembers a fair-haired young man with whom he had been smitten and wants to learn control sexually because of his encounter with this golden boy. Their sex is sort of clinical, but the human gets a great deal of pleasure from it (no doubt!) and they do it a bunch of times. It was the ending that was really neat as Spock knows he’s going to be transferred soon to the Enterprise.
