Author's Notes
This was written in 1987/88. Except for removing some unnecessary commas, the story story has not be re-edited. I do not apologize for anything in a 30 year old story that offends anyone today.
This story was published in the zine In the Public Interest #2 from Sunshine Press. I copied the version in The Circuit Archive because I am lazy.

Lezlie's 'A Couple of Fruits' has humor, some nice Bodie back story and an unrepentantly bloke-ish Doyle.[1]

Lezlie Conch is one of the best comic writers we've had in Pros fandom. Comedy isn't the easiest type of fiction to write, and what appears humorous to one reader can sink like a stone to another. Although Lezlie didn't write much Pros, she did leave us a few comic gems that succeed in evoking laughter in a large number of readers.In this story, she turns her talents to the weighty question of what CI5 agents might be most likely to get up to in their time off. Which--hardly a stumper--is, of course, sex. Specifically, what occurs when a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of his partner. Ever open to a challenge and ready to forage into new territory, Bodie happily decides that "Ray Doyle would be the ultimate seduction".
Only things don't go quite as Bodie envisions....[2]
