"How is Laura?" is an infamous Carmilla comic by toodrunktofindaurl. It was posted in the weeks between episode 34 and the last episode of Carmilla season one airing; the period in which Carmilla was assumed to be dead.
The comic is notorious for taking a tragic event in canon and making it even more angsty. It is somewhat of a tradition in the fandom to make Creampuffs watching the show for the first time pause on episode 34/35 so that they can be shown the comic before proceeding.[1]
