Cap/Iron Man Big Bang is a Captain America/Iron Man Big Bang. This continues the tradition of Cap/Iron Man Big Bang that was originally started with Captain America/Iron Man Big Bang Fest in 2009. The minimum story length is 25,000 words. The Big Bangs generally start sometime in late spring/early summer and posting begins in October. Until 2013 authors had to sign-up at the beginning of the Big Bang[1] in the usual way, since 2014 the Big Bang has no official sign-ups before the writing period and instead has a draft deadline that is about a month before posting date claims and directly before the artist claims.[2]

The Big Bang is organized by the cap_ironman community and since 2015 is run by the comm mods with the help of appointed event mods.

Buy You A Mockingbird by jadedoll

Artist: neomeruru
Rating: NC-17 for the fic, PG for the art
Universe: 616 Avengers & 3490 Avengers
Word Count: 30,000
Warnings: Minor Character Death (see end note)
Summary: Babyfic! When Tony unexpectedly becomes a parent, his world view drastically changes. And changes. Then it changes again. And then again.

Heroes and Devils by marinarusalka

Artist: dyaoka and stalkerbunny
Rating: PG-13 for the fic, G for the art
Universe: 616 (New Avengers)
Word Count: 35,500
Warnings: (skip) Minor character death.
Summary: Three years after Dr. Doom cast the entire island of Manhattan into the dark depths of the Echo Bazaar, life goes on. The people of Lowered Manhattan, including the Avengers, have adapted as best they could to their shadowy new existence. But then the Avengers find themselves in possession of a mysterious locked box that could save them all -- if it doesn't kill Tony first.
AN: Written for c_im_bigbang. This fic is a crossover with the Echo Bazaar game, but you don't need to be familiar with the game in order to follow the story. Conveniently, this story also fills the "Wild card: possession/mind control" square on my hc_bingo card and the "Fictional crossover" square on my card.
Continuity note: Takes place shortly after the New Avengers "Breakout" storyline. So no Sentry yet, and no Extremis for Tony yet. Also, I'm damned if I can remember when Jessica Drew became a Skrull in canon, but she isn't one here.

A Long Way to Go by grand_duc

Artists: angel_inoshi, stormseye
Universe: 616, with a bit of movieverse and god knows what else. It's an AU what dod you expect.
Pairing/characters: Steve/Tony, various Avengers and other Marvel characters.
Word count: around 26.000 words.
Rating: pg-13, maybe light R for some concepts.
Disclaimer: I do not own those characters, Marvel and Disney do.
Prompt: a historical AU where Tony is a young nobleman who is kidnapped and sold into slavery by business rivals, and Steve is some kind of warrior who purchases him either for armour care or because he says he can build trebuchets or something. Tony assumes he'll also be performing sex slave duties, and when Steve turns out to find banging people who are technically his property off-putting, Tony gets quite irritable and demands to be taken advantage of. (From the 1st round of the Avenger kink meme.)
Summary: Tony is not a very good slave, Steve is in over his head.
Warnings: Slavery and what goes with it including issues of consent.
Author's Notes: [...] The fic takes place in a fantasy medieval world that has more population movement than ours did (You have more immigration) and where women have something close to equal right (They can inherit, be member of guilds, practice trades including soldiering although they are a minority)

Tony's not sure he wants to remember, but if he doesn't it's going to be the death of him. (Sequel to Without Irony)

Catch a Falling Star [2] by tsukinofaerii

Artist: derpkid & phoenixmetaphor (LJ, DW, Tumblr)
Rating (both art/fic): NC-17
Universe: Marvel Ultimates
Word Count: ~43,000
Summary: When Tony was sixteen, he got to meet his hero, Captain Steve Rogers, the Empire's not-literally-golden boy from the Continuity Wars. When he was twenty-seven, the aforementioned Captain turned Pirate picked him up at the outer edges of space. It would have been a good time to appreciate the abundant nudity that came from spending too much time with space colonists, but Tony had bigger worries than even Rogers' amazing hip-to-shoulder ratio. Something was sending the star-encircling computers that power the galaxy into a tailspin, and it was going to take a lot more than luck and skill to clean the mess up.

Between the flashback and the sedatives, Tony’s mind revisits key moments in his life while the team bands together in support of each other and their injured friend, letting SHIELD handle Tony’s attacker, they remain where they are needed, even if Tony isn’t awake to truly realize this. Let The Daylight Enter In by elenothar

Artist: whisperelmwood, [8] jennuine
Rating (both art/fic): PG-13
Universe: MCU
Word Count: 25300
Summary: Post Avengers movie. Tony had figured that his life would go back to normal, or what passes as normal in Tony Stark's life, after the Chitauri Invasion - he was sadly mistaken. Fury isn't getting off his back about this whole team thing (never mind that most of his team mates are notable only through their absence), Pepper is dangerously close to a nervous breakdown due to his latest world-saving stunt (which really doesn't make his life any easier), terrorists have it out for him and the world by proxy, and Steve Rogers continues to defy all his expectations, somehow firmly inserting himself in Tony's life - all the while being ridiculously attractive and possibly the most oblivious person on the planet. Oh, and let's not forget the blue goo, there's blue goo, too. Sometimes Tony really hates his life.

Summary: Tony leads the way up the steps to the house, and as the door swings open with a long creaking sound - note to self: oil door hinges - Steve’s eyes widen. He steps inside, turns slowly on his own axis as he looks around.
“Tony, this place, it’s…” There’s a sense of wonder in his voice. Tony smiles inwardly. It is just the kind of thing Steve would like. Steve, who has a keen appreciation for fine aesthetics, who has a healthy - okay, sometimes more than healthy - sense of history and an acute desire to preserve things he deems worthy.
“This place is a dump.”
Well, so much for that, then. Tony shifts his weight to one leg as he takes an appraising look. “It’s a bit of a fixer-upper, yeah, I’ll give you that, but it’s not past saving. Just needs some TLC.”
Steve uncrosses his arms and shoves his hands in the pockets of his pants. “Well listen, you ever want an extra set of hands with some of the work, just give me a call.”

Summary: Technomancers are considered mages, though they aren't, truly. True mages have weak, usually offensive, powers. Tony's only ever had technomagery at his fingertips, until after the misadventures that gave him Iron Man.
Seventy years ago, a big fight went down in northern Europe between Steve and Red Skull, getting more intense with each encounter. It caused a series of barren circles in the landscape: scars left upon the very ground by the conflict between the two highly skilled mages. Both of the combatants have become the stuff of legend, since neither body was ever found. And, frankly, with the force of the last explosion, there was no reasonable way they could have survived.
And that's where things get interesting; now, seventy years later, Tony develops the Iron Man armour and confronts his enemies with it. But strange things happen when he goes looking for some solitude in a remote region of the north sea, afterward, hovering high above the ice and waves. He starts hearing a voice whisper and seeing flickers of movement that resolve into thin air. And they get more frequent as he nears the source: a man frozen solid in a block of ice...
