Zine Melodies is a series of filk songs, authors unknown set different snippets of popular music. The "songs" are one stanza long and focus on well known attributes of popular Star Trek fanzines of the 1980s.
Ex: Gayle F's steamy Mirrors of Mind and Flesh with her signature illustrations is described as
- (sung to the tune of "These Boots Are Made For Walking")
- These boots are made for Pon Farr,
- And that's just what we'll use.
- The pictures, they will tell the tale,
- Of who's got hold of who.
Courts of Honor, a fanzine that was well known for extensive publishing delays and misspent funds is described as
- (sung to "Money Song from CABARET")
- Money money money money money money money money
- Money makes this zine come around
- this zine come around
- this zine come around
- Money makes this zine come around,
- A year or more too late,
- A year or more too late.
