Zauberhogwarts started of as an early fansite dedicated to the Harry Potter Universe and is today more or less a Harry Potter roleplay site[1] .
History
On May 26, 2002 the first Harry Potter fan website version went online under the name "Annas & Ginas Hogwarts". It started at Beepworld and changed at one point to Yahoo Geocities.[2]
On May 11, 2003 the 2nd version of the Hogwarts site was uploaded too - this time under the name "Ginas Hogwarts". It was launched on May 19. Until the last update on February 4, 2004, the site even had 96 members.[2]
In the third version, which went online around May 2007, the website design was changed and the site moved to a new domain. With these changes, new features were added such as a new profile design, a messaging system and a friends list.[2]
