Young Blades is an historical adventure series that aired on PAX (now Ion Television). It was set in 17th century France, loosely based in the world of Alexandre Dumas's The Three Musketeers. Like the original, it actually followed the adventures of four Musketeers.
The principal characters in Young Blades: D'Artagnan (played by Tobias Mehler) is the son of the hero of Dumas's book; Jacqueline (Karen Cliche) is on the run for murder, and joined the Musketeers disguised as a man, under the alias Jacques; Siroc (Mark Hildreth) is an inventor; Ramon Montalvo Francisco de la Cruz (Zak Santiago) is a poet. The series is set during the reign of Louis XIV, when he is only fifteen, and France is essentially ruled by Cardinal Mazarin, an historical figure.
