This one shouldn't actually work; not only is it a "the crew regress to infants" story (which usually makes me wince) but it is also a little broken-backed: the first part sets up a potentially interesting story on Blake's tragic family history, only to ditch this for the comedy, and leave it unresolved (something I have seen before with this author). But I still enjoyed it, mainly because the characterisation was good - the 'infants' still are very much in character (and the author obviously thinks - as I do - that Blake would have been a right handful as a child). And the use of Vila's first-person voice is *very* good. In all, a nice light fun read.[1]
