Reactions/Reviews

2010

A light delight of a first-time story. Bodie teaches Doyle to dance so he can attend a fancy do with a Sloane Ranger type. Disaster inevitably (though not predictably--at least, I didn't catch on the first time I read it) ensues, Bodie gets the fall-out, and they re-emerge in a changed relationship. Unpretentious fun with nicely recognisable characters. Gloria Lancaster especially excels at portraying Bodie, but her Doyle is recognisable and appealing as well. [1]

2023

You Dancing? You Asking? by Gloria Lancaster is a first-time fic in which Bodie discovers that Doyle doesn't know how to dance and decides to teach him. It was enjoyable, with a fun premise and good dialog. I did see a development coming that I think might have been meant as a surprise, but it didn't matter much. 6,323 words. Bodie/Doyle slash.[2]
