Y'shtola Rhul is one of the main characters in Final Fantasy XIV. She was introduced in the now inaccessible 1.0 version of the game and continues to be part of the plot to the present day.

Y'shtola's skin lightened slightly over the various expansions. This has led to fans accusing Square Enix of whitewashing her.
In a 2020 NHK poll, Y'shtola was voted the 51th most popular character in the Final Fantasy franchise.[1][2]
