Why I Can't Stand Vila Restal is a Blake/Avon Blake's 7 story by Nova.

Vila steals Avon's Blake-substitute for the night, so he has to content himself with the real thing, after all. Another nice, happy story in which Blake and Avon have great sex followed by confessions of love and much hope for the future. Personally, I don't ever think it'd be quite that easy for them (a sentiment I find coming to mind regarding several stories in this volume), but what the heck, I enjoyed it a lot, anyway.[1]
Another one on the 'not my favourite Nova, but still pretty good' list. It's a slightly exaggerated (I assume) characterisation of everyone, which she doesn't usually do (it's not bad, it's just different - though there are some good observations about Avon, particularly, and a nice Blake) and I'm not sure the 'make me like it' plot line really gets satisfactorily resolved, but the ending's nice, the Blake (as I said) is nice, and the dialogue is as always superb.[2]
At this point it started to read like several other fics, some of them Nova’s and some of them not. I don’t have much to say about this story - it’s easy to read and the sex is good, but there is just nothing new about it. Also, Blake is too paternalistic in this one, which can be done well but I just don’t dig it, especially in sex scenes.[3]
