The art is by Salvador Dalek (cover, interior), T. Hardin (interior), and Sean Wolfe (back cover).

It required an age statement to purchase.

From an ad in Datazine #15: "The ultimate in sensual expression, a journey into the far reaches of the erotic; most definitely a zine for discriminating adults. Fiction includes 'Through We Hunted High and Low,' 'An Excerpt from Romana's Diary,' and 'Royal Treatment.' Also contains numerous illustrations, cartoons, a bawdy limericks."

From the Editorial

Welcome to the first issue of Who-rotica, a magazine whose time has ... ahem... come. We've got so many surprises and good things in store for you between the covers of this zine that it would be impossible to mention them all in detail. Suffice it to say that you'll find plenty of excitement; lots of fun romps with our favorite Time Lord and his companions. Our resident artist and faithful editorial assistant Sal Dalek has outdone herself in several lusty interpretations of the (very!) good Doctor and company; and in addition you'll find a few other artistic surprises waiting in store for you too. Our five fabulous stories come from the cream of the crop of Who-rotic writers--excursions that you'll simply have to read (several times...) to believe. Add to that a luscious centerfold interpretation of a gathering of the Doctor and two former companions in a way you never dreamt [sic] of before; a hearty dollop of bawdy humor... and you've got Who-rotica.

Our philosophy is simple; to bring to you the very best of the hidden side of that time-travelling Gallifreyan (the side the BBC doesn't talk about!) and a little speculation about the private-lives of those nubile young women he always seems to have so conveniently at his side....

We welcome letters from our readers (to let us know what we're doing right-and wrong, as well as contributions (see page 47 for more details).

We hope to publish four times a year, each time bringing you a little "something different"; more exciting, stimulating and enjoyable than the last. So keep a lookout for us.

Many thanks to those contributors whose work and pseudonyms appear within; to all of those who collated these pages, receiving tantalizing, very disjointed glimpses of what was to be contained, to our special friend at Model Printing who never batted an eyelash when asked to copy some of the artwork contained herein; and to long-suffering [G H], your editor's hubby, who wishes his wife had never heard of Doctor Who in the first place.

Submission Guidelines for Further Issues

While this single of issue of "Who-rotica" appears to be the only one published, the editor had planned on there being four issues a year. Below are the guidelines for future issues, printed in the zine.

We Need You.

Yes, that's right -- YOU! We can't be having all this fun by ourselves, now, can we? We need your salacious stories, erotic musings, titillating speculations -- and just plain ol' smut -- to grace our pages. Short stories, serialized bedroom adventures, humorous pieces, and of course limericks, are always welcome at the Who-rotica offices. So if you've been [[hiding those feverishly scrawled sheafs [sic] of paper in your dresser drawer]] for far too long... send them for consideration to Annie and company c/o

[address in California redacted]

Also, if you're of an artistic bent, we want to hear from you too! Woman (and man) does not live by literature alone; we are always in need of talented people to illustrate some of our stories. Sal has been working her little fingers to the bone trying to keep up with the artistic demand for this 'zine. So if you draw the kinds of things that make the local convention art show chairman go pale over when you ask to place them in the display room.... let us see 'em! You'll make Sal's life sooo much easier, not to mention having a forum for the kinds of drawings you've always liked best.

For all contributions on page in length or more, you'll receive a complimentary copy of the issue of Who-rotica your work appears in. So what are you waiting for? -- you've got nothing to lose! Let's see those pens in action!

The next issue was to contain:

The exciting conclusion of ROYAL TREATMENT. (you won't want to miss that!(
A tender tale of a Time Lord's FIRST KISS
SIN OR SWIM: another use for the TARDIS "bath"
The winner of our "Write This Story" competition
Additional fictional excursions into the realm of the Who-rotic by Lainie Stone, Karen Silver, Pam Michaelson, and others
More artwork from Sal, including another fantastic centerfold -- this time featuring the gallant third Doctor (you'll have to see it to believe just how "gallant" he is!)
Plus our usual potpourri of cartoons, limericks, competitions... and anything else that might tickle our fancy (ooh, that would feel good, wouldn't it?!)

All this coming your way mid-February!

SEE YOU THEN!
