Reactions and Reviews

This is one of the most beautifully written and affecting fics I’ve ever read. In Jim’s voice, the story tells the tale of the slow unravelling of a perfect relationship in such a way, you think your heart will break. And the greatest tragedy of this sad story is that nothing is resolved. There is no happy ending – for that, you have to read the equally excellent sequel, Near Misses. Dark, angsty and thoroughly delicious.[1]

God, I never knew there was a sequel to White Bread - thank you for lifting that load of my heart, because I always loved WB as a good read, but at the same time hated it as a thoroughly sad and hopeless story. Now, I feel much happier because I've read Near Misses and know there's a chance for them. Thanks a million to both, author and reccer! [2]

Oh my, Near Misses is almost (almost!) as heartbreaking and hopeless as Whitebread, but it does end with the *chance* of resolution for them, but when Blair...! right at the end...!! O:! I (literally) screamed out loud; "Blair! NOOOOOOOO!!!" ::G:: Not going to tell and spoil it - do go and read it; it's a wonderful story.[3]
