When She Cries is a gen 506-page Starsky and Hutch novel by Missy Lenon.
This massive novel ends on a cliffhanger and the words, "to be continued."
The story is a casefic as well as a love story. Hutch marries an original character, Amanda. Starsky marries an original character named Angel and honeymoons in France.
Linda Baylor is a supporting character.
The zine has ten black and white full-page publicity stills or screenshots.
Author's Intro
I guess a little introduction is probably necessary here. I started this little project almost a year ago at the urging of some good friends and I had intended it to be just a short little story. However, it soon turned out to be a pet monster. It just kept growing and growing until it pretty much took over my life. Not that I'm really complaining, because it's been so much fun that it didn't really seem like work at all. The characters of Starsky, Hutch, Huggy, the Dobeys and several others you might recognize don't belong to me, much as I might wish they did.
They are all copyrighted under several different companies. The other characters however, are either mine or people I've met along the way. I mean no infringement whatsoever on anyone's rights and I promise there's no profit being made here. The songs I've used here were recorded by David Soul, Dan Fogelberg and Leo Sayer. I hope none of them mind that I've used their material either.
I want to thank several people and I'm sure I'll probably forget a few along the way. I hope they forgive me and know that they helped too. Many thanks to Marissa who twisted my arm in the first place to get me to write it. Thanks Marti for letting me bounce ideas off you at all hours of the day and night and for insisting that I could write a good sex scene if I put my 'mind to it. Thanks to Val for pushing the plot along and for taking on the seemingly insurmountable task of editing the tome, as it's been called. Thanks to Cynthia for allowing me to use her picture that just seems to fit so well here. Thanks to all they folks at the WPP who poked and prodded me, yes sometimes even with threats, to get this sucker out. Your friendship has meant so much to me during this last year. I really don't know what I'dve done without you all. Thanks also to Becky for putting up with me all those nights I was whining about everything and anything to keep me from working on this story. Thanks also to my little girl, Jake, who tried her best not complain if mom didn't have dinner ready on time or all the laundry folded because she was in her room at the computer.
The biggest thanks however, go to two men without whom none of this would have been possible, Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul for giving us two such well rounded and loveable characters. I know my world is a better place for their lessons on life, love and most of all friendship.
