Reactions and Reviews
This was very good. It reminds us that good and bad are not absolute, and no people are universally anything. The sense of horror about what these people did 40 years before is always present. It shows the damage that lives on from war; Dukak sees that the deaths of the Cardassians cannot be justified but still believes in Cardassian moral superiority. Kira is horrified by what they find, but cannot accept that it was done by her people. She uses future actions to justify what happened before, a testament to the power of hate to justify. Both of them miss the point that it wasn't right for the Bajorans or the Cardassians to do what they did. [1]
