Reactions and Reviews

What is amazing about this story is that Ariana wrote this before "The Waltz" had even aired. Stranded on a moon, an injured Sisko must rely on Dukat to help him. It's always great to read stories in which the author tackles using the Prophets and the sharp dialogue and excellent pacing of this story makes it a must read, even if only to find out just how Sisko could... ahem... be with Dukat. [1]

A combination I *never* thought I'd see, but the way Ariana writes, it works, and works well. A nice prelude to "Waltz" (since it was first posted before the ep. aired), with a believably mad Dukat and some nice h/c moments. [2]

Ariana strikes again :) Hm... I'm not sure whether, given the choice, I'd take this one or Waltz. Good thing, I suppose, I got both. <devilish grin> Ok, ok, I loved Waltz too darn much, but this *was* a good take on the Waltz premise... which was, as Ariana said, a very slashy one. So, we have another odd couple, believably together. This one is a must-read, (borrowing someone's phrase) if only to see how Sisko and Dukat could be a couple... and certainly for a non-Bajoran take on Bajoran religion. [3]

Oh, yes - what "Waltz" should have been, the "visions" given more meaning this time, Dukat less the stereotypical "bad guy" and more the sad and disillusioned victim, Sisko trying to understand him. Every problem that I had with "Waltz" is absent from this story, written with all Ariana's usual love for Dukat even in his current state. [4]
