Vincent Juodvalkis established the first widely accessible web version of the Gossamer Archive in the X-Files fandom, mirroring the earlier FTP sites associated with alt.tv.x-files.creative and gathering all the stories into one location. This site became the basis of the Gossamer Project as it exists today.
