Vermin Publishing was a Doctor Who zine publisher. They published The Fake Missing Adventures, The Valeyard Adventures, Triskadecalogaphobia, and Make Your Own Mistakes.

Vermin Publishing has no license of any kind to publish Fake Doctor Who books of any sort, but we get sick kicks from it, so we do it anyway. Production of Fake Doctor Who books falls into two categories: fiction and non-fiction. Doctor Who fiction in turn takes four forms: Valeyard Adventures; Missing Adventures; Make Your Own Mistake books; and Triskadecalog short story collections.

The Valeyard Adventures

The Valeyard Adventures are original novels; that is, not based on specific TV stories. Launched in 1996 to annoy those who decided to be offensively stuffy about Doctor Who, they are intended to carry on from where those stick-in-the-muds left off. The first Valeyard Adventure, Catharsis of Spurious Morality, follows on (albeit not immediately) from the final episode of Trial of a Timelord. The success of the series led to the Valeyard Adventures having its own merchandise line.

The Fake Missing Adventures

The Missing Adventures, original stories featuring old Doctors, began in 1995, and are being published when we feel like it. They are intended to utterly fail to fit in the gaps between TV stories, and as such are written in an obscene parody of the style of the era in which they are set.

Make Your Own Mistakes

Make Your Own Mistake Books give you, the reader, the chance to prove that you're a complete idiot. They also provide us, the publishing company, with the chance to kill you violently over and over again. This allows both parties to indulge in their hobbies.

Triskadecalogaphobia

Until recently, there was no scope for the publication of Fake Doctor Who short fiction, and there still isn't. But with the forthcoming resounding success of the Triskadecalog collection, it is likely that short stories based on Doctor Who characters will become a regular feature of Vermin's publishing schedule. However, the procedure for submission of such stories is not straightforward, which shouldn't surprise you.
