Removing Links

Hi Yrindor, thank you for your work on the articles on An Inhabited Garden and Touching and Touched (Star Trek: TOS story by Cynthia Drake). However, I noticed that you removed the links to the respective stories and replaced them with links to the Ao3.

Please remember that we don't remove links on Fanlore, we archive them even when they're dead links (see:Help:Dead Links) which is not the case here; both links are working. So there is no reason to remove them and I have restored them by now. Adding an archive url or a link to an alternative website is fine, but in this case, the fresh ao3 links you provided were for fics with restricted access. The pages can only be seen by registered users which means that some fans on Fanlore might not be able to view them.

Thanks for the clarification and the link to the dead links documentation. I have a follow up question I'm not clear on from the documentation. Both works were posted to AO3 as part of the migration of K/S Archive to AO3 through Open Doors, and the original ksarchive will be going offline sometime in the relatively near future. Once the K/S Archive site is offline, would that be a case where the link to the work on AO3 could replace the original link, or would both links still be kept?
