inalasahl started in fandom in 1994, reading Usenet and fanfic, primarily in The X-Files fandom, and was an early participant in the main MSR mailing list active at the time. In 1997, she posted her first fanfic under the author name Liss in the Buffy, the Vampire Slayer fandom. In 1999, she began using the name inalasahl, becoming particular active over time in the Firefly and Supernatural fandoms.
