I found Internet-based fandom via The X-Files in 2000 but didn't start participating until I started watching Buffy in 2001. I got my start in fandom as an avid consumer (and eventually writer) of episode reviews and other meta. I started vidding in 2002. Later that year, I helped found the Buffyverse Music Video Database, which I co-maintained until 2007.

Since the conclusion of Buffy and Firefly, vidding itself has been my long-term primary fandom. I have an ever-expanding list of shows (and occasionally films) that I've been emotionally invested in, and am usually watching at least a couple of shows I'm not especially fannish about, but am typically active in only one fandom at a time (if that). I made ten vids in my first year of vidding, but since then have typically produced 1-3 vids per year.
