I fell into fandom as a teen some time around 1995, with the simultaneous discovery of the internet and Star Trek, a combination made in geek heaven. Never being one to stand quietly on the sidelines, it was a short step from reading works posted to the ASC to starting to write - and post - my own. To say the results varried wildly in quality is a vast understatement.

Time passed, and I eventually found myself moderating and then admining the TrekBBS for a couple of years, and from there it was a short step to editing TrekToday. Not bad for a spotty teen living in Western Australia.

After the travesty of Voyager's finale, fandom lost its lustre. It would be several years before I recovered enough to have a heated affair with Potterdom, or to now have a tentative relationship with the DC Universe and its various spin-offs.

I write gen shorts, almost exclusively, and at an incredibly slow pace; occasional practice has taught me that I can't write romance (or smut, for that matter) to save my life. I don't often ship, and, when I do, I tend to prefer het and canonical pairings. If a show has a snarky doctor in it, it is a given that he or she will immediately become my favourite character to the exclusion of all others.
