a cracked-out au born from a badfic challenge. she interprets the intent of the prompt very loosely to create a hilarious and semi-realistic story with rodney the underaged doctoral student tutoring john the rotc frat boy in physics. rodney's narrative voice is hilarious as usual. [1]
Okay, I had to throw this in here, because it's cracked out and based on a badfic cliche challenge- and cracked out, badfic cliches are what drives SGA fandom. A college AU where John and Rodney meet at a frat party. Oh, and there's drag. 'Nuff said. [2]
Shalott has a way of taking stuff that SHOULD be crackfic of the worst degree and making it warm and real and sexy and really, really good. This particular piece is wildly AU, except that when it comes to our two main characters? It isn't. She has a deft hand with humour, and a keen understanding of that fact that true humour lies in the realest of every day absurdities, rather than overplayed gags and hijinks. This story made me happy, and it made me snort English Breakfast tea out of my nose at least once. [3]
