U.S.S. Hood Orientation Manual, subtitled "Races of the Federation", contains 21 pages, offset, coil-bound. It consists of illustrations and descriptions of seventeen Star Trek aliens. The illustrations are by the editor/publisher, Ian McLean.
A fan in 1983 described it as a "collector's item... not many left, I believe." [1]
This zine was followed by a second in the series, "Enemies of the Federation" (1985), which was "Highly Commended" in the Astrex Literary Awards.
