Loid Forger x Yor Forger, aka TwiYor or LoidYor, is the het ship of Loid Forger and Yor Forger in the fandom Spy x Family.

Canon

Agent Twilight, a spy adopting the person of Loid Forger for a deep cover mission, proposes marriage to Yor Briar, who uses her job as a clerk at city hall to cover for her much more lucrative career as a mob assassin. For both, it's a sham marriage of convenience: Loid needs a living mother to present a "respectable" family to get Anya into the presitigious school in order to get access to the target of Operation Strix, while Yor needs the respectability of marriage to avoid being fired from her conservative job for being an too old and unmarried. However, as they build their fake family together they find themselves getting along pretty well, while occasionally going to humurous lengths to hide their secret jobs and identities from each other.

Fandom

LoidYor has consistently been the most popular ship in the fandom since Yor was introduced in the manga.

Common Tropes & Fanon

  • Fake Marriage: literally the premise of their relationship in canon, it is often also seen or elaborated on in fanworks
  • Identity reveal
  • Meet on the job as enemies: because their secret jobs as spy for a foreign government and assassin for a criminal organization could easily end up pitting them against each other.
  • Domestic Fluff: a fair amount of the manga focuses on the Forger family homelife, and this is popular in fanworks as well. Specifically, Loid is quite good at many household chores (having lived on his own for most of his life), and Yor, while enthusiastic, is terrible at some of them (especially cooking).
  • Anya playing Matchmaker: because Anya can read their minds, she could easily realize their true feelings for each other and try to engineer situations that lead to a true confession.
