Trae Dorn is a cofounder of No Brand Con anime convention, author of the webcomic UnCONventional, and runs a blog/podcast called Nerd & Tie. They also create music under the name "Lt. Snorkel".
Trae is nonbinary and genderqueer.
In 2016, Trae and their co-podcaster Pher Sturz were sued for defamation by Ryan Kopf, based on Trae's 2015 blog articles "AnimeCon.org CEO Ryan Kopf Allegedly Attacks Vendor During MetaCon 2015" and "Ryan Kopf’s Anime California Harasses, Threatens Maid Cafe Operators After They Refuse To Sign Over Ownership". The initial suit, filed in Iowa, was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds, but Kopf refiled the suit in Illinois later the same year.[1]
