Tomoyo/Sakura is the flagship yuri pairing of the Cardcaptor Sakura fandom, once averaging over 100 fics on the Shoujo-Ai Archive.[1]
Canon
Tomoyo has confirmed romantic feelings for Sakura, but never properly confesses to her. She doesn't seem too heartbroken about it, as she proclaims she loves Sakura enough to want her to be happy even if it's not with her. She spends the latter part of the series playing matchmaker for Sakura and her canon love interest Li Syaoran.
Fandom
Many shippers were dissatisfied with the ending, feeling Tomoyo got "screwed over". This led to shipping wars and many fix-it fics, breaking up the canon pairing in a variety of ways; some more extreme fans demonized Syaoran into an abuser or a cheater so Tomoyo could rescue Sakura from him, while others had the split be more amicable and Syaoran wind up with Mei Ling (who was canonically in love with him) or Eriol.
