"To Leave Betimes" is a short story by toujours_nigel based on Mary Renault's 1953 novel The Charioteer. It is about the school performance of Hamlet in the term previous to Chapter Two, in which it is canon that Laurie played Laertes.
Synopsis
Laurie and his friends are triumphant at the conclusion of the play, having managed to completely upstage Hazell, whose histrionics during rehearsals had outraged them.
