Reactions and Reviews: Issues 17 and 18
This comes from a new group which is doing a great job with its meetings up in Sydney. If you want news on Who and other sci-fi shows, and don’t feel like spending a fortune on DreamWatch, this is the zine to get. It comes out every month, and its delightfully cluttered pages have an incredible amount of information. A bit cliquey sometimes, but great value. Rating: • • • • & • • 1/2 [1]
Issue 19
Time Brains 2013 19 was published 1995.
Issue 20
Time Brains 2013 20 was published 1995. It has interviews with John ‘Benton’ Levene and Paul Cornell. This issue is a mish-mash of fonts and hard to read in many places.
Issue 21
Time Brains 2013 21 was published 1995.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 21
Number 21 is back to the old "Let’s not worry about lots of silly fonts" format, and it’s a relief on the eyes. The usual tidbits, more focused on news than personalities, and back to the best this zine has produced. Who needs DreamWatch when you’ve got this? Ratings: • • • 1/2 out of five. [2]
Issue 22
Time Brains 2013 22 was published 1995.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 22
Number 22 pays tribute to Michael Wisher, but otherwise seems a tad empty and has all those horrible fonts back again!!! • • 1/2 out of five. [3]
Issue 23
Time Brains 2013 23 was published 1995 and contains 17 pages. It is a Mr. Men Special.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 23
Issue 23 is a Mr Men special, claiming that Mr Men was just a plot to turn us all into Who fans. It’s a particularly thick issue, with about seventeen servings of news and rumours. Unfortunately, this issue is rather lax on separating the two, to the extent that some statements become completely deceptive. If this was your only source of info, you’d be very confused. More care, please! Overall, however, one of the better Time Brains. Issue 24 is only half as big as its predecessor, but of similar quality. Ratings: • • • out of five. [4]
Issue 24
Time Brains 2013 24 was published 1995 and contains 8 pages.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 24
Issue 24 is only half as big as its predecessor, but of similar quality. Ratings: • • • out of five. [5]
Issue 25
Time Brains 2013 25 was published 1996. It is the last issue edited by Neil Hogan.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 25
The latest of this monthly news & rumour zine (or should that be the other way around?). Issue 25 now holds the record for most fonts on a single page of an Australian Doctor Who fanzine. Seriously! It also has LOTS of clips, a few weird pictures and convention reports. And more, including the statement on the front cover that Paul McGann is the Doctor back when it was purely one of the rumours floating around. Then the next issue explicitly say he isn’t. I’m waiting for the next one… Ratings: • • • 1/2 (out of 5) [6]
Issue 26
Time Brains 2013 26 was published 1996. James Sellwood takes over as the editor.
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 26
James Sellwood takes over as editor from Neil Hogan. Well, mostly. It’s a good-looking job by him, and has some of the silliest and most incredible links between Doctor Who and the Beatles. Ratings: • • • 1/2 (out of 5) Ratings: • • • 1/2 (out of 5) [7]
