This Album is Not a Horcrux is a wizard rock compilation album produced by Brett Holden of Slytherin Soundtrack. It was released as part of The Harry Potter Alliance's "Passing on the Magic" fundraiser.
Background
[The album] was inspired by the [The Harry Potter Alliance]’s Deathly Hallows campaign and the songs generally reflect the campaign and the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.[...]
Many of the wizard rock bands are newer, and I feel that it not only helps capture the themes of the Deathly Hallows campaign but also shows that there are still Potter fans out there ready and willing to wrock. [1]
