Third Invid War: Dandelions is a fanfic set in Third Invid War, a fan supplement to the official Robotech RPG. While the fic only has 26 reviews on FF.Net, responses to a 2004 update on the Harmony Gold Robotech forums indicate that the fic was well-regarded in the fandom.
In 2013, Borden posted on Eyrie Productions that Dandelions was still unfinished.[1]

More Dandelions: now that really takes me back, back to going to the science computing labs in my first year of university and reading the story using a Windows 3.1 version of Netscape, back to the days of the Robotech Mailing List, back to when Macross Plus was the latest hot thing in anime…Anyway, enough nostalgia. Among the unfinished epic Robotech fanfics I read back then (and there didn’t seem to be any other kind), Dandelions was a good one: slow-moving in the middle, if I remember correctly, but with interesting characters. Nine years later, the new chapter fits in with what came before just about perfectly. I have to admit, though, that after finding the story on fanfiction.net and skimming through its first chapter, I skipped right to the new chapter. It picked up from the cliffhanger I can still remember quite well and didn’t completely lose me, although the new character seemed to come out of nowhere (to fit in nicely once she had shown up…)
With Third Invid War itself a remarkably well-preserved online fossil from a time that now seems vanished, this is a fanfic resurrection to top any I’ve ever seen before. I really hope we’ll be able to see more chapters, and also hope it’s not too much for them to appear before 2013 or so.
I enjoyed reading chapters 1 to 9 from TIW´s two years ago and was thrilled when I noticed this thread.You have created such a great story.
Continue writing Dandelions, please.
