The Wrong Side is a short story by russian_blue based on the Yorkshire Television spy series The Sandbaggers. .
The summary, " A snippet of the future that might have been." well describes the story's focus. In keeping with interviews with a couple of the actors post-series, this ficlet ‘fleshes out’ events that were planned for the fourth series which was never made: Willie Caine, in a wheelchair, becomes D.Ops and Neil Burnside is promoted.
The story was written as a treat for Yuletide 2012 and given to the_croupier (who had requested Sandbaggers fic). As a short ficlet it was posted to the ‘Yuletide Madness’ collection rather than the main Yuletide collection.
