In Anna Monique's story Veronica Serris, the Switchman, reappears and captures former Captain Ellison and his partner to play a twisted game. Style and characterizations are good, but what convinced me most of all is Jim's role in this as former soldier, and cop. His Sentinel abilities are not ignored, but neither are they used as the story's main focus. Unfortunately, though the author assured me in 2000 that a sequel was in the works, she hasn't posted one yet, and therefore the storyline's resolution is still missing.[1]
